Hello! I’m Debi Scholom, and I created this space to talk to you because my 13 year old daughter, Juliana, felt that the website speaks to the parents, and not the students and campers. And I want to talk to YOU, because you are the reason this website exists at all! Your opinions, just like my daughter’s, matter to me. You might already know me from camp or from class, or maybe you’re visiting for the first time. Either way, thank you for being here.
I love teaching you. Every day when I walk into our cozy classroom space, I feel grateful. Really, I think this is the best job on earth, because it doesn’t feel like a job at all! The adventures we go on together are just as exciting for me as they are for you. And when you complete a project, and you’re proud, I feel proud of you too!
Life is full of challenges. School can feel like one sometimes. But that’s why we’re always going to face those challenges together. There’s nothing we can’t accomplish with a little bit of determination and team work. You are smart. You are capable. And you are unique. Yes, I know that for a fact, even if I haven’t met you yet!
Lets explore the world together from our own Rogue Valley! There’s SO much world to see. If you’re coming for the homeschool co-op class and joining our Middle School class you are in for an adventure! The year is all about you, but it’s also about all the things that are “out there” in this huge, beautiful, interesting world.

Who are you? What does it feel like to get up in the morning? What makes you laugh so hard that your belly hurts? When you daydream, where do you go? If you could make a difference in the world, what would it be? And why is that? And most importantly, how can we work together to turn those thoughts into action!?
We’re going to answer those questions, and many more, during your year here with Global Learners. You deserve to live your best life. You have the skills and power to learn, to grow and to create. And I’ll just be here guiding you along the way, coming along side of you when you need a little extra help.
We’re going to create projects and art, explore the outdoors, work on your school skills, and make great friendships.

Travel with Arts Summer Camp
Pack your bag, grab your passport, take a look at the map, close your eyes and JUMP with me all across the world this summer!
Every week we’re going to visit a different country. Some of them you might have heard of, and some you probably haven’t. But each of those places we’re going to visit have interesting cultures to explore and learn about.
What are we going to do at camp?
- Clay art projects, painting, woodwork, jewelry making, tie dye and other arts and crafts
- Cooking meals from different countries together
- Fun field trips that have to do with the country we’re exploring
